All you’ll need to clean your fabric shoes is:
  1. Water
  2. Mild Detergent
  3. Cup
  4. Soft toothbrush

Step 1. Brush away any loose dirt or debris

Using a soft bristled toothbrush, gently brush off any excess dirt from the shoes. Try to only use a soft toothbrush as you don’t want to damage the white silk / satin. Make sure to remove all the loose dirt as you don’t want it to be rubbed further into the silk as you clean the shoes. Once you have removed the loose dirt with your toothbrush, clean your toothbrush before the next step.

Step 2: Create a gentle cleaning solution.

Mix a solution of 3 parts cold water to 1 part mild detergent. If you want a gentler solution, you can increase the ratio of water to detergent, depending on the amount of stain on the shoes. However, the lowest ratio we recommend is 3 parts water to 1 part detergent as you want to protect the delicate silk / satin from being damaged from the soap.

Step 3: Gently brush the dirt using the solution

Using the same soft toothbrush (after you cleaned it), mix it into the solution that you created and tap away excess water. If there’s too much water on the fabric, it could create a water stain when it dries. Gently brush the dirt mark away using gentle motions. Try not to rub the dirt further into the shoe as that would create a bigger stain. Repeat the step. It may take a couple of tries to properly get rid of the dirt from your fabric shoes.

Step 4: Dry your shoes overnight

Once you’ve cleaned your shoes, immediately dry your shoes with a dry towel. Leave your shoes overnight to dry and you’ll wake up to clean looking fabric shoes! Keep in mind that your shoes are not going to look brand new but these steps can help to clean it so it looks almost new again.
