Finding Your Perfect Fit
Getting the right fit is important to us. Here’s how to choose with confidence and find the best fit and comfort for your feet.
1. Start with your usual dress-shoe size
- Check each product page for Fit Notes recommendation (e.g., “true to size,” “runs small,” “runs big”).
- True to size: order your usual size.
- Runs small: go ½ size up.
- Runs big: go ½ size down.
2. Consider your foot width & shape
- Wide feet: Open-toe or peep-toe styles offer more room. Mesh closed-toe options stretch gently. Also consider going up half a size.
- Narrow feet: Closed-toe pumps and slingbacks with ankle straps offer a snug, secure fit. With open-toe styles, try half a size down for better hold.
- Bunion-friendly: open or peep-toe styles, a higher side vamp that provides coverage above the bunion to reduce friction and pressure on that area, or mesh pumps that stretch for extra comfort.
3. If you’re between sizes
- Choose the large size for comfort and extra room for expansion.
- Add a heel liner or pad for a more secure and snug fit, if needed.
Why We Don’t Recommend Foot Measurements
We’ve helped thousands of brides find their perfect fit, and we’ve learned that measuring your foot isn’t always accurate.
- Measurement methods differ between people.
- Each shoe style has a unique shape and toe silhouette.
- Every foot has its own fullness, where the same length can feel different on two feet.
That’s why we recommend using your usual dress-shoe size and checking the Fit Notes on each product page for the best guidance.
Try-On Tips
- Try the shoes indoors on a clean carpet to keep soles pristine.
- Recheck the fit in the evening, when your feet have swollen slightly. If it fits tight, you can exchange for a bigger size. If it fits well without pinching then we suggest keeping the size.
- If the slingback slides down, place a heel liner near the toe for a more secure and snug fit.
- Mesh styles will stretch with wear; leather will soften more gradually.

These shoes are STUNNING. They are so timeless and classic. However, they are just not comfortable in the slightest. I've been trying to break them in around the house, and they just hurt so bad. The toe box is really digging into me, and I wouldn't consider myself to have wide feet at all. I even went up a half size (after trying my true size, and it was too tight). Also FYI the description heel height says 3 inches, but I measured and they are definitely 3. 5 inches.

In regards to the heel height measurement, please note that we measure the heel height from the seam where the heel shaft is attached to the sole, to the point where it touches the ground. This brings the heel height of Audrey to 3 inches.

My experience with Bella Bella Shoes was amazing from start to finish! They have a huge selection of shoes and heel heights, the shipping was so fast, I had my shoes within two days of shipping. And the quality is amazing! I've referred so many people to this brand and they aren't even getting married! Cannot recommend this brand/boutique enough! I bought this going half a size up, but it was a perfect fit anyway and I didn't need to use any silicon inserts. That said my feet is a bit wide, so I would definitely go half a size up if you're the same. The shoes itself is so gorgeous. Although very simple, it's made from silk and just incredibily elegant and pretty in person. Friends have told me not to get high heels especially in ivory as it will be uncomfortable and will get dirty easily - plus I'll be running after kids besides, but I'm so happy I got these shoes. It's the perfect wedding shoes :)
