Getting the right fit is important to us. Here’s how to choose with confidence and find the best fit and comfort for your feet.
1. Start with your usual dress-shoe size
- Check each product page for Fit Notes recommendation (e.g., “true to size,” “runs small,” “runs big”).
- True to size: order your usual size.
- Runs small: go ½ size up.
- Runs big: go ½ size down.
2. Consider your foot width & shape
- Wide feet: Open-toe or peep-toe styles offer more room. Mesh closed-toe options stretch gently. Also consider going up half a size.
- Narrow feet: Closed-toe pumps and slingbacks with ankle straps offer a snug, secure fit. With open-toe styles, try half a size down for better hold.
- Bunion-friendly: open or peep-toe styles, a higher side vamp that provides coverage above the bunion to reduce friction and pressure on that area, or mesh pumps that stretch for extra comfort.
3. If you’re between sizes
- Choose the large size for comfort and extra room for expansion.
- Add a heel liner or pad for a more secure and snug fit, if needed.
Why We Don’t Recommend Foot Measurements

Try-On Tips
- Try the shoes indoors on a clean carpet to keep soles pristine.
- Recheck the fit in the evening, when your feet have swollen slightly. If it fits tight, you can exchange for a bigger size. If it fits well without pinching then we suggest keeping the size.
- If the slingback slides down, place a heel liner near the toe for a more secure and snug fit.
- Mesh styles will stretch with wear; leather will soften more gradually.

The shoes are so comfortable, I can’t wait to wear them on my wedding day. I followed the recommendation to order half a size up for wide feet; however, I ended up exchanging them for my usual size because they were really loose.
If you have wider feet, you may feel your foot go past the padding. In my case, it lightly rubs against the mesh but it doesn’t bother me, I just wanted to mention it.
Overall, they are incredibly comfortable. The padding is very cushiony, the beadwork is stunning, and the quality of the satin on the heel feels superior. I’ll definitely be purchasing additional pairs for other bridal events.
Customer service was the best, they helped me with the exchange and were incredibly sweet and quick to respond.

I love my Bella Belle shoes! We had about 6 inches of snow the night before - for some of my initial outdoor shots in the snow I did wear boots, but I changed into the Bella Belle shoes and wore for ceremony , portraits, reception, etc!! Wore them all night 4-11

I wore these shoes for my rehearsal dinner, welcome party and my entire wedding day. My feet were so comfortable and it was so easy to walk around in these. I also received so many compliments with how beautiful they were. I would absolutely purchase another pair of shoes from Belle Belle.

They had the perfect name and matched my second look perfectly, I had to do it! :) I had the best experience with my Bella Belle shoes – I wore Chelsea for the ceremony/cocktails/dinner and then changed to the Carla style for the dancing! Both were so comfortable and I never had to take them off! Truly 12 hour shoes cause we went from 3:30pm to 3am haha
