Finding Your Perfect Fit
Getting the right fit is important to us. Here’s how to choose with confidence and find the best fit and comfort for your feet.
1. Start with your usual dress-shoe size
- Check each product page for Fit Notes recommendation (e.g., “true to size,” “runs small,” “runs big”).
- True to size: order your usual size.
- Runs small: go ½ size up.
- Runs big: go ½ size down.
2. Consider your foot width & shape
- Wide feet: Open-toe or peep-toe styles offer more room. Mesh closed-toe options stretch gently. Also consider going up half a size.
- Narrow feet: Closed-toe pumps and slingbacks with ankle straps offer a snug, secure fit. With open-toe styles, try half a size down for better hold.
- Bunion-friendly: open or peep-toe styles, a higher side vamp that provides coverage above the bunion to reduce friction and pressure on that area, or mesh pumps that stretch for extra comfort.
3. If you’re between sizes
- Choose the large size for comfort and extra room for expansion.
- Add a heel liner or pad for a more secure and snug fit, if needed.
Why We Don’t Recommend Foot Measurements
We’ve helped thousands of brides find their perfect fit, and we’ve learned that measuring your foot isn’t always accurate.
- Measurement methods differ between people.
- Each shoe style has a unique shape and toe silhouette.
- Every foot has its own fullness, where the same length can feel different on two feet.
That’s why we recommend using your usual dress-shoe size and checking the Fit Notes on each product page for the best guidance.
Try-On Tips
- Try the shoes indoors on a clean carpet to keep soles pristine.
- Recheck the fit in the evening, when your feet have swollen slightly. If it fits tight, you can exchange for a bigger size. If it fits well without pinching then we suggest keeping the size.
- If the slingback slides down, place a heel liner near the toe for a more secure and snug fit.
- Mesh styles will stretch with wear; leather will soften more gradually.

These are the most comfortable heels I_ve ever worn! I got them for my rehearsal dinner and they were just perfect. I got so many compliments on them! I love them so much and can_t wait to wear them more. Such a high quality shoe :) Bella Belle shoes is the best!

I bought these shoes for my wedding. I haven't had a chance to wear them yet but trying them on they feel like they are going to be so comfortable my toes don't feel squished and the ribbon on my heel feels comfortable. They arrived with a slight blue smudge on them and customer service was good and sent me a replacement pair.

My niece absolutely loved these. She looked high and low for a pair of wedding shoes for her big day and once she spotted these, she HAD to have them!

They do look like the pictures, gorgeous, which is expected since they’re not cheap. However, they are not true to size. I’m from Europe and ordered online hoping they’ll fit - I always wear 37. 5-38 (7-7. 5 US), never worn anything bigger than that. I ordered 7. 5 just to be sure they’ll fit. They are the smallest 38, 7. 5 shoes I’ve ever seen. And I can’t return as I’ve already paid 32% tax and duties on them and for a new pair I’d need to pay 32% of the sum again. For those buying from other countries than US - be careful, they’re not true to size as advertised.

While customs duties and taxes are already included in majority of international orders, unfortunately, a few areas are not set up this way at this time. However, if you return an order, you can apply for the customs duties and tax refund through your country's customs office or with the shipping carrier.
