Finding Your Perfect Fit

Getting the right fit is important to us. Here’s how to choose with confidence and find the best fit and comfort for your feet.

1. Start with your usual dress-shoe size

Check each product page for Fit Notes recommendation (e.g., “true to size,” “runs small,” “runs big”).
True to size: order your usual size.
Runs small: go ½ size up.
Runs big: go ½ size down.

2. Consider your foot width & shape

Wide feet: Open-toe or peep-toe styles offer more room. Mesh closed-toe options stretch gently. Also consider going up half a size.
Narrow feet: Closed-toe pumps and slingbacks with ankle straps offer a snug, secure fit. With open-toe styles, try half a size down for better hold.
Bunion-friendly: open or peep-toe styles, a higher side vamp that provides coverage above the bunion to reduce friction and pressure on that area, or mesh pumps that stretch for extra comfort.

3. If you’re between sizes

Choose the large size for comfort and extra room for expansion.
Add a heel liner or pad for a more secure and snug fit, if needed.

Why We Don’t Recommend Foot Measurements

We’ve helped thousands of brides find their perfect fit, and we’ve learned that measuring your foot isn’t always accurate.

Measurement methods differ between people.
Each shoe style has a unique shape and toe silhouette.
Every foot has its own fullness, where the same length can feel different on two feet.

That’s why we recommend using your usual dress-shoe size and checking the Fit Notes on each product page for the best guidance.

Try-On Tips

Try the shoes indoors on a clean carpet to keep soles pristine.
Recheck the fit in the evening, when your feet have swollen slightly. If it fits tight, you can exchange for a bigger size. If it fits well without pinching then we suggest keeping the size.
If the slingback slides down, place a heel liner near the toe for a more secure and snug fit.
Mesh styles will stretch with wear; leather will soften more gradually.

My Cinderella shoes. so comfortable AND stunning.
I was absolutely delighted. I actually had Sierra pinned on Pinterest for a couple years before I even got engaged…I really had my heart set on them! Then as I was browsing the website for Sierra, I came across Dorothy, and I knew I had found my shoes for both events! They are truly so comfortable AND stunning. Photos really don’t do y’all’s shoes justice. They are all so gorgeous and exquisitely made! I felt like the Dorothy heels really made my rehearsal dinner outfit. I call the Sierra heels my Cinderella shoes. I felt like a princess wearing them!

These shoes are so comfortable!
These shoes are so comfortable! I generally don't wear heels, but I wanted to for my wedding, and these were perfect! They were super comfortable, even after standing for a few hours straight. I changed into Tom's to dance because my reception involved a lot of traditional folk dancing so I'm not sure how they would stand up to that, but they were wonderful for the hours I wore them before the dancing started, and I got so many compliments!
