1. Start with your usual dress-shoe size
- Check each product page for Fit Notes recommendation (e.g., “true to size,” “runs small,” “runs big”).
- True to size: order your usual size.
- Runs small: go ½ size up.
- Runs big: go ½ size down.
2. Consider your foot width & shape
- Wide feet: Open-toe or peep-toe styles offer more room. Mesh closed-toe options stretch gently. Also consider going up half a size.
- Narrow feet: Closed-toe pumps and slingbacks with ankle straps offer a snug, secure fit. With open-toe styles, try half a size down for better hold.
- Bunion-friendly: open or peep-toe styles, a higher side vamp that provides coverage above the bunion to reduce friction and pressure on that area, or mesh pumps that stretch for extra comfort.
3. If you’re between sizes
- Choose the large size for comfort and extra room for expansion.
- Add a heel liner or pad for a more secure and snug fit, if needed.

- If the slingback slides down, place a heel liner near the toe for a more secure and snug fit.
- Mesh styles will stretch with wear; leather will soften more gradually.

I was really hoping for these to be my wedding shoe but they were not comfortable. I wear a regular size 9. The sole under my heel was too narrow and there was not enough ankle support. The strap did not hold my ankle in place, my foot was lifting out of the heel and I did not feel a smaller size would help because the toe was also a little tight. I returned them.

The shoe is beautiful! I really loved it but it did not work for my wide feet. It hurt around my pinkie toes on both feet. It needed to be higher up to contain my feet more. The quality of the shoe is perfect and lovely, I just wish it worked better for my feet. I ended up picking a different shoe from Bella Belle
