1. Start with your usual dress-shoe size
- Check each product page for Fit Notes recommendation (e.g., “true to size,” “runs small,” “runs big”).
- True to size: order your usual size.
- Runs small: go ½ size up.
- Runs big: go ½ size down.
2. Consider your foot width & shape
- Wide feet: Open-toe or peep-toe styles offer more room. Mesh closed-toe options stretch gently. Also consider going up half a size.
- Narrow feet: Closed-toe pumps and slingbacks with ankle straps offer a snug, secure fit. With open-toe styles, try half a size down for better hold.
- Bunion-friendly: open or peep-toe styles, a higher side vamp that provides coverage above the bunion to reduce friction and pressure on that area, or mesh pumps that stretch for extra comfort.
3. If you’re between sizes
- Choose the large size for comfort and extra room for expansion.
- Add a heel liner or pad for a more secure and snug fit, if needed.

- Recheck the fit in the evening, when your feet have swollen slightly. If it fits tight, you can exchange for a bigger size. If it fits well without pinching then we suggest keeping the size.
- If the slingback slides down, place a heel liner near the toe for a more secure and snug fit.
- Mesh styles will stretch with wear; leather will soften more gradually.

These shoes are beyond perfect. I had been searching for a while for something really comfortable, well-fitting for a size 2. 5, stable underfoot but also pretty and elegant, and the Thea shoes exceeded my expectations in every way.
You will not be disappointed by the comfort of these shoes both in padding and stability, the beautiful detail of the mesh toe decoration, or the general quality in the feel of all the materials.
They also come in high quality packaging and it really feels like they have been created with so much care. I cannot wait to wear them for my wedding this year and am sure they will be comfortable all day. They do not feel like they need much if any breaking in but I am going to wear them around the house anyway because they are just such a joy to wear!

While beautiful, these shoes are not comfortable at all and I ultimately returned them. I also didn’t like the customer service or the fact they charge so much to return. Would not recommend.
