1. Start with your usual dress-shoe size
- Check each product page for Fit Notes recommendation (e.g., “true to size,” “runs small,” “runs big”).
- True to size: order your usual size.
- Runs small: go ½ size up.
- Runs big: go ½ size down.
2. Consider your foot width & shape
- Wide feet: Open-toe or peep-toe styles offer more room. Mesh closed-toe options stretch gently. Also consider going up half a size.
- Narrow feet: Closed-toe pumps and slingbacks with ankle straps offer a snug, secure fit. With open-toe styles, try half a size down for better hold.
- Bunion-friendly: open or peep-toe styles, a higher side vamp that provides coverage above the bunion to reduce friction and pressure on that area, or mesh pumps that stretch for extra comfort.
3. If you’re between sizes
- Choose the large size for comfort and extra room for expansion.
- Add a heel liner or pad for a more secure and snug fit, if needed.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Bella Belle Shoes.
The shoes were recommended by the company as suitable for wide feet, which was the primary
reason for my purchase. However, when the shoes arrived, they were objectively narrow and did not come close to standard wide-foot measurements. This was not a matter of personal comfort or preference — the physical dimensions simply do not support the company’s recommendation.
When I raised this issue, customer service hid behind technical wording and disclaimers, arguing that because the shoes were not explicitly labeled “wide width,” they bear no responsibility — even though their own product description and fit guidance actively encourage wide-foot customers to purchase them.
Even more frustrating, they refused a refund due to a “final sale” policy, despite the product not performing as represented. Final sale should not excuse misleading fit claims or absolve a company from standing behind what they market.
For a brand that positions itself as a premium bridal shoe company, the lack of accountability, rigid policy enforcement, and dismissive tone were shocking. Brides should be able to trust fit guidance, especially when returns are restricted.
If you have wide feet or are relying on their recommendations — proceed with extreme caution. I would not purchase from this company again.

It truly was the best day ever! We were originally supposed to get married last October but Hurricane Helene hit Asheville 2 weeks before our wedding and we were forced to postpone :u1F972: One of the hardest parts was waiting an extra 9 months to wear my dress and shoes!! I feel like Zoya matched my gown PERFECTLYYYY 😍 I also loved the little bow accent on them bc I had a pearl bow in my hair during the reception and felt like it all tied together like a dream❤️️
